Patriarch Ignatius Aphrem II Ingurates Sayfo Monument in Mount Lebanon

Mount Lebanon- His Holiness Patriarch Moran Mor Ignatius Aphrem II inaugurated a Sayfo Monument in Mount Lebanon. The ceremony was organized by the Syriac League at T.M.S. School in Bourj Hammoud, Mount Lebanon.
The ceremony was attended by His Eminence Mor Theophilus George Saliba, Archbishop of Mount Lebanon and Tripoli and the clergy of the archdiocese as well as many dignitaries. His Holiness spoke about the history of Sayfo and how it influenced the role and presence of the Syriac people in the Middle East.
His Holiness was accompanied by His Eminence Mor Chrysostomos Mikhael Shemoun, Director of the Patriarchal Institutions in Atchaneh and Mor Georges Kourieh, Dean of St. Aphrem Theological Seminary in Maarat Saydnaya.
