Orthodox Monk in Alaska Face Charges for Abusing Minor

Alaska-USA: A monk (Evan P. Nicolai) affiliated to the Russian Orthodox Church in Alaska has voluntarily submitted to the Kodiak Police Department for abusing an 8-year old minor. He may face up to 99 years of imprisonment provided he is convicted. According to the complaint, Monk Nicolai admitted that he abused the child several times.

The monk was living in the house provided by the Russian Orthodox Church while he committed the abuse, according to the report.
