On Twitter, Metropolitan Dr Mar Yulios plans better connectivity with the faithful of Ahmedabad Diocese

AHMEDABAD, Gujarat, India — HG Pullikkottil Dr Geevarghese Mar Yulios, Diocese Metropolitan, Ahmedabad Diocese, is now on Twitter.
The young, dynamic Metropolitan thus becomes the second only Indian Malankara (Orthodox) bishop to logon to Tweeter account.
His Grace has already begun tweets on Tweeters@G Yulios.
An effort by the high-tech Metropolitan to tweet enables him to be in constant touch with those on the online social networking site and on iPhones and iPods. Twitter is an online social networking service and micro blogging service that enables its users to send and read text-based messages of up to 140 characters.
Dr Mar Yulios first short “tweet” was on the 3rd MGOCSM Conference of the Diocese of Ahmedabad on Diwali Day, November 13, 2012. The three-day conference concluded successfully at the St Gregorios Chapel, Ognej, Ahmedabad.
The Metropolitan later tweeted with a quote from Mahatma Gandhi, Father of the Nation: @YuliosG: “Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will”
Next tweet was a quote by noted author Margaret Carty – “The nice thing about teamwork is that you always have others on your side.”
Another tweet related to the new liturgical year of the Church which also coincided with the third Diocesan Day Celebrations of the Orthodox Diocese of Ahmedabad on November 4 (Feast of Kodhos Etho).
The tweet went thus: @YuliosG: Wish you all a blessed new liturgical Year of the Church. May Almighty God help us all to lead a meaningful sanctified Christian life of worship and witness. +BE WITH HIM AND BE LIKE HIM+
Primarily the tweets will come from the contents of the Ahmedabad Diocese annual conferences of various spiritual organizations like MGOCSM, Youth Movement, Martha Mariya Samajam and others. This may also include reaction to major world events.
Dr Mar Yulios makes it a point to carry his Apple Ipad during his many tours all over India and abroad. His Grace is connected to the virtual world on a constant basis keeping himself updated on various ministry and Diocesan works.
