Olympiad on the History of Armenian Church in the Mother See
On April 16, the national phase of the Armenian Church History Olympiad was held at the Gevorkian Theological Seminary of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, with the blessings of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians. The Olympiad was organized upon the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia; the National Institute of Education; and the Christian Education Centre of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
During the 2013- 2014 academic year approximately 114 students from grades 8- 12 of the secondary schools in the Armenian regions and Yerevan had passed their individual school and regional trials to participate in the national phase of the Olympiad on the History of the Armenian Church.
The final results of the contest were revealed on the same day. Rev. Fr. Vardan Navasardyan, Director of the Christian Education Centre of the Mother See, Jury Chairman of the National Phase of the Armenian Church History Olympiad; and the other jury members granted the winners of the Olympiad with diplomas, certificates and prizes.
