OCP Secretary Lectures at Orthodox Theological Seminary

Kerala/Kottayam: Orthodoxy Cognate PAGE Secretary, Mr. George Alexander was invited to give a lecture at the Orthodox Theological Seminary (OTS) of the Indian Malankara Orthodox Church on 25th September 2012. He spoke on the topic “Orthodoxy in the Twenty in the First Century: Growth and Development”. Mr. George highlighted the objective perspective of Orthodox faith (based on the article by Jaison Baysee), practical aspects of the growth and development of Orthodox Churches worldwide and the identity of the Indian Malankara Orthodox Church. OCP Chairman Mr. K C Jacob, Mr. Varghese John Thottapuzha (OCP Associate) Adv. Prasad Abraham (OCP Advisory Panel Member & Editorial Board member of ‘Yuvaganam’ magazine of Orthodox Youth Movement of the Indian Malankara Orthodox Church) were present for the occasion. The entire Seminary batch and several faculty members attend the lecture.

As a token of love OCP Chairman Mr. K C Jacob presented an Icon of St Gregorious of Parumala to the Orthodox Theological Seminary Community. Mr. George specialty thanked Fr Dr. Jacob Kurien (Principal OTS) for the initiative, kind invitation, and warm welcome.

The talk was part of the External Lecture series held at the Seminary Ecumenical hall every Tuesday from 3 pm to 4 pm.

Mr. George Alexander became the youngest person to lecture at the Orthodox Theological Seminary till date.
