OCP Delegation Meets IMOC Delegate to Ethiopian Orthodox Church

India/Kerala: On 10th September 2012, with the blessings of Rt Rev Kyrikose Thottupuram of Chicago- Chancellor Orthodoxy Cognate PAGE Society, Mr George Alexander (Secretary) and Mr Abraham P Koshy ( Treasurer ) visited Rev Fr Jossi Jacob who is the Indian Malankara Orthodox delegate to the Ethiopian Orthodox Church also the faculty and Director of Post-graduate programme at the Holy Trinity Theological College in Adiss Ababa.

Fr Jossi received the OCP delegation at his residence. Mr. George Alexander discussed with Fr Jossie about the Ethiopian Orthodox Theological education, iconography and the late Patriarch Abune Paulose. Fr Joisse talked in brief about the Ethiopian Orthodox Theological education system, programmes offered, future development plans, iconography system, monasteries etc. OCP Delegation also pointed out the strong relationship they had with the Office of the late Patriarch Abune Paulose. OCP has two representatives from the Ethiopian Orthodox Church Mr. Yonas Gredew and Mr. Solomon Mengist.OCP continues to have fraternal ties with the Ethiopian Orthodox Patriarchate. George also recalled the services of Stalin Gebreselassie to Orthodoxy Cognate PAGE in maintaining warm relations with the Ethiopian Church. Lunch was served thereafter.

As a token of love Fr Jossi was presented with an icon of St Gregorious of Parumala (the first canonized Indian Saint. The icon is also a property of Voice of Orthodoxy and OCP) and also with a book on Orthodox Priesthood written by Rt Rev Dr. Kyriakose Theottupuram of Chicago. Abraham P Koshy tanked Father Jossi for his warm reception.
