OCP Delegate Dr. John G. Panagiotou Promoted to Full Professor of Church History and Greek New Testament at Oldest African-American Anglican Seminary

USA: Cummins Memorial Theological Seminary President Rev. Dr. Julius Barnes has announced the Board of Trustees’ decision to promote Dr. John G. Panagiotou to Full Professor of Church History and Greek New Testament. Cummins Seminary was founded in 1876 and is the oldest African-American seminary founded to educate black males in the Anglican tradition for ordained ministry in the Reformed Episcopal Church. Upon being informed of his promotion, Dr. Panagiotou expressed his deep gratitude, pride, and how much of a humbling honour it was for him to receive such a distinction. He succeeds The Rev. Canon Dr. J. Ronald Moock who retires after having served the seminary for the last fifty years as Professor of Church History.
Dr. John G. Panagiotou also serves as the Head of Greek Affairs and Eastern Orthodox Theology at Orthodoxy Cognate PAGE (Pan-Orthodox Christian Society). He is the author of the best-selling book ‘The Path to Oikonomia with Jesus Christ as Our Lighthouse’.
