New Patriarchal Vicar Appointed for Australia and New Zealand Diocese of the Syriac Orthodox Church in India

India: His Grace Metropolitan Mor Athanasius Geevarghese has been appointed as the new Patriarchal vicar for the diocese of Australia and New Zealand Diocese of the Syriac Orthodox Church in India.

The appointment was made by the revered office of His Holiness Ignatius Aphrem Karim II- Patriarch of Anthioch and All East. The Metropolitan will serve the Syriac Orthodox communities of Indian origin living in Australia adn New Zealand.
