Name day of Archbishop Jovan VI of Ohrid
The Autonomous Orthodox Ohrid Archbishopric – Church of Serbia – 4/12/2020
His Beatitude Jovan, Archbishop of Ohrid and Metropolitan of Skopje, prayerfully marked his name day – the feast of St. John Chrysostom, which is also the Patron Saint-day of the Stauropegic Monastery in Bitola.
His Grace Marko, Bishop of Bregalnica and Locum Tenens of Bitola, presided over the All-night Vigil, while Archbishop Jovan presided over the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy with the concelebration of the clergy of the Orthodox Archbishopric of Ohrid.
After the Gospel reading, Bishop Marko delivered a sermon, while at the end of the service, Archbishop Jovan blessed the slava bread and wheat and addressed Bishop Marko and the faithful present with an appropriate speech.
