Metropolitan Zachariah Mar Nicholovos meets the Dean of the Faculty of Orthodox Theology – University of Belgrade
Northeast American Diocese of the Indian Orthodox Malankara Church – 28/10/17
His Grace Zachariah Mar Nicholovos, Metropolitan met with Protopresbyter Stauvrophor Dr. Predrag Puzović, dean of the Faculty of Orthodox Theology, University of Belgrade.
Along with His Grace, members of the Department of Ecumenical Relationsof the Malankara Church, Reverend Father Abraham Thomas and Reverend Father Aswin Zefrin Fernandis, also participated in the meeting.
Discussions on how both Churches can strengthen their relationship, especially in the realm of theological education, were deliberated upon during the meeting. It was decided to develop a formal agreement of collaboration in the field of theological education and look into possibilities of exchanging students and faculty.
On behalf of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, His Grace gifted the Serbian Orthodox theological institution with a set of liturgical books as translated from Syriac to English, by the Reverend Father Dr. Baby Varghese, Professor of Orthodox Theological Seminary, Kottayam.
