Metropolitan Sotirios Receives the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal

His Eminence Metropolitan Sotirios of Toronto was awarded with the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Award in recognition of his dedicated work for his compatriots, the Greek community and Canada.
“This award goes to all Greek Orthodox Canadians. I could have done nothing on my own. We achieved massive progress because of everyone’s cooperation and the grace of God,” said His Eminence Sotirios, touched by the distinction he received for his work in the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Canada.
Other recipients of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Award include Communication Director of the Canadian Olympic Committee Dimitris Soudas, and other representatives of the Greek Community in Canada known for their charitable endeavors across the country.
