Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk Comments On the Reunification of the Russian Orthodox Church and Old-Believers

Moscow – Russia: Metropolitan Hilarion, the Chairman of the Dept. of External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate spoke to the Kommersant Daily on the reunification of the Russian Orthodox Church and Old-Rite Believers.

Metropolitan stated that even though dialogues exit between the Russian Orthodox Church and the Russian Orthodox Old Believer Church, it would be difficult to realize unification if one side considers the other ‘heretical’.
