ON THE OCCASION OF THE DAY OF KNOWLEDGE

From the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin we extend Our Pontifical blessings on the occasion of Day of Knowledge, congratulating all the devotees of education – teachers, students and youngsters of educational institutions.
Today, all our educational institutions once again have accepted our loving children under their bright auspices inviting them to walk the path of knowledge, gathering capital, understanding, and wisdom.
Our people have always stressed the importance of knowledge and learning, which have played a key role of importance in our lives.
Today the responsibility of the citizen and the educated child is invaluable to the empowerment of our country, the welfare of the Homeland, the strength of our state borders and the bright future for our nation, as according to the words of the scripture, “By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches” (Proverb 24:3-4)
Dear ones, we extend our prayers to Almighty God, that the love of learning be integral to our children’s hearts, and that the dedicated efforts of our teachers be richly successful in the new academic year for the sake of high-quality education of the new generation, building of the homeland, and teaching of our Christian values; and for the peaceful and happy future of our homeland and our people throughout the world.
May the grace, love and mercy of Our Lord Jesus Christ be with all of you. Amen.
