Meeting of the Orthodox Christian Church in Thailand Committee on flood situation in Thailand
Foundation Committee Resolution
During the session of 18.10.2011 attended by Representative of the Russian Orthodox Church in Thailand archimandrite Oleg as well as a number of invited experts the Committee of the Orthodox Christian Church in Thailand Foundation heard the information on the flooding in Thailand and considered possible measures of giving assistance to victims.
Following the results of the discussion it was decided to:
To set up the working group on assistance to the flood victims consisted of:
Representative of the Russian Orthodox Church in Thailand archimandrite Oleg (Cherepanin) – The Chairman of the Group
Priest Danai (Daniel) Wanna, the Chairman of the Fund Committee of the Orthodox Christian Church in Thailand – the Deputy Chairman of the Group
Hierodeacon Seraphim (Raicea) – the Group member
Ivan Moroz, the assistant of the Representative of Russian Orthodox Christian Church in Thailand – the Group secretary
Promthida (Paraskeva) Chaksuraksa – the Group jurisconsult
To assign the obligations on the Group to organize and coordinate the assistance to the flood victims.
To render one-time financial assistance of 60m000 Thai baht.
To call upon all the parishes of the Orthodox Christian Church in Thailand to give material support to the Foundation
To ask the Hierocracy of the Russian Orthodox Church to support the call to help the flood victims in Thailand.
To provide the Group-performed charity campaigns on the fund-raising for the needs of the flood victims.
To have the permanent communication line with state and public organizations of Thailand for coordinating actions in helping the flood victims.
To start publishing reports of inflows and outflows for the needs of the flood victims on the official web-site of the Orthodox Christian Church in Thailand www.orthodox.or.th.
to publish all information concerning charity campaigns of the Orthodox Christian Church in Thailand for the needs of the flood victims on the official website www.orthodox.or.th.
