Meeting for the the Knanaya Archdiocese
Syriac Orthodox Patriarchate – 1/4/19
On March 28, 2019, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II presided over a meeting to discuss issues related to the unity of the Knanaya Archdiocese and its growth and well being, at the Patriarchal Residence in Atchaneh – Lebanon.
Their Eminences: Mor Severius Kuriakose, Archbishop and Chief Metropolitan of the Knanaya Archdiocese, Mor Gregorios Kuriakose, Metropolitan of Kallissery Region of the Knanaya Archdiocese, Mor Ivanios Kuriakose, Metropolitan of the Ranni Region of the Knanaya Archdiocese, and Mor Silvanus Ayyub, Archbishop of America, Canada and Europe Region of the Knanaya Archdiocese, attended the meeting from the Knanaya Archdiocese. The Secretary and the Treasurer of the Knanaya Committee, as well as some other members of the community, have also participated in the meeting.
The meeting was also attended by their Eminences: Mor Theophilos George Saliba, Archbishop of Mount Lebanon and Tripoli, Mor Selwanos Boutros Al-Nemeh, Archbishop of Homs, Hama, Tartous and Environs, Mor Justinos Boulos Safar, Patriarchal Vicar in Zahleh and Bekaa, Mor Chrysostomos Mikhael Chamoun, Patriarchal Vicar and Director of the Patriarchal Benevolent Institutions in Atchaneh, Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury, Patriarchal Vicar for the Patriarchal Archdiocese of Damascus, and Mor Anthimos Jack Yakoub, Patriarchal Vicar for Youth Affairs and Religious Education.
The fathers prayed and asked the Holy Spirit to reach a common mind concerning the different issues prevailing on the Knanaya Archdiocese.
