Tokyo-Japan: The Orthodox Church of Japan, an autonomous Church under the Patriarchate of Moscow, celebrated the 150th anniversary of founding, the 50th anniversary of the autonomy, and the 50th anniversary of the glorification of St. Nikolai of Japan.
His Beatitude Daniel – Metropolitan Tokyo and All Japan and Primate of the Japanese Orthodox Church presided over the all-night vigil on the 12th of September at the Holy Resurrection Cathedral in Tokyo.
A congratulatory message from His Holiness Krill Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia was read after the service.
