Holy Synod Begins at Syrian Patriarchate

Under the chairmanship of His Holiness the Patriarch of the Holy Synod started its first session on 15/9/2010 at the Saint Ignatius Patriarchal Maart Sednaya Center. All Metropolitans of the Church are taking part tin the Synod, except Patriarchal Vicar of Australia and New Zealand as well as the Metropolitan in charge of Syriac Studies due to health reasons.
Mor Athanasius and Mor Titus Yaldo from the Syrian Church of India also attended the opening session at the invitation of the Patriarch.
