Historic Day at St. Nersess Seminary

St. Nersess Armenian Seminary – November 2016

Many thanks to those who joined us on Saturday, November 12, for the Official Opening of our new Campus, which will always be remembered as a historic day at St. Nersess Seminary.

In the presence of more than 500 friends, donors, clergy, and dignitaries, we were honored that His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, presided over this ceremonious occasion and the consecration of St. Hagop Chapel, assisted by the Primates of the Eastern and Western Dioceses, His Eminence Archbishop Khajag Barsamian and His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian. Also present for this special day were Mr. and Mrs. Haig and Elza Didizian, whose generous gift enabled St. Nersess to purchase the land for the new campus as well as build the Karekin I Theological Center, which was also blessed by His Holiness.

We thank the Building, Room, and Garden Donors, as well as all the Legacy Donors, who together made this new campus possible. Numerous ribbon cuttings were performed throughout the campus to highlight each room, building and garden donated. We also thank the organizing committee and the more than 50 volunteers who worked throughout the day to ensure a successful event. At the conclusion of the program, everyone enjoyed a bountiful reception and fellowship. Click for photos.
