HIS HOLINESS ARAM I IN LOS ANGELES

Upon his arrival at the Los Angeles Airport, Catholicos Aram I was met by the Prelate of the Western Prelacy, Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, the Prelate of the Eastern Prelacy of the USA, Archbishop Oshagan Choloyan, the Ambassadors of Lebanon and Armenia, the representative of the Mayor of Los Angeles, representatives of the Church Council of Los Angeles, and other representatives of institutions and organizations in the community.
After canonical prayers, His Holiness met with the organizing committee and the members of the church council. In the evening, Catholicos Aram I visited Saint Garabet Church in Hollywood, he was welcomed by members of the parish. After thanking the people for their warm welcome, His Holiness delivered his message, in which he identified three priorities that should constitute community life in the Armenian Church. These priorities are: 1) to renew the spiritual life, 2) to strengthen the Armenian School and 3) to reinvigorate the Armenian cause. In the end, the Catholicos said that he planned to discuss these three issues with the people during his visits to institutions and different projects of the community.
