His Eminence Vladimir celebrated the Divine Liturgy on the Sunday of St. Gregory Palamas

April 2013 – Moldovan orthodox Church

On the Second Sunday of Great Lent, the Sunday of St. Gregory Palamas, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the presence of numerous Christians who came for spiritual food that will help them in their spiritual journey of Great Lent.

This was a very special service for deacon Aurelius Zmeu, who was ordained priest for the parish of St. Great-Martyr Haralambios in Chisinau, and for the graduate of the Theological Academy of Chisinau, Serghei Apostol, who was ordained deacon.

On this blessed occasion, His Eminence Vladimir congratulated the young clergymen, and gave them archpastoral advice, hoping that they will work all their lives for the good of the Orthodox Church and the Christ-loving people.

His Eminence addressed a very touching sermon to the believers, talking about glorious acts of ever-commemorated St. Gregory Palamas, and offering the example of this prominent athlete of Christ in the work of enlightening and salvation of the soul.
