GRAFFITI ON WALLS OF ORTHODOX CHURCH IN KOSOVO

Strpce
5/4/2012

Graffiti with offensive content and the letters UCCK (Kosovo Liberation Army) have been sprayed on the walls of the Church of Saint Apostles Peter and Paul in the Kosovo village of Brod, Caglavica-based KIM Radio has reported.

Police of the Strpce municipality confirmed they were investigating the case.

It is not known who the offenders are nor when exactly the graffiti were scribbled over the walls because Serbs have left the village long ago and local Kosovo police visits the church only periodically.

Serbs usually visit this site on important church holidays.

Last year, the fountain in the church’s courtyard was restored, but was destroyed very soon after installation.
