On March 23 Patriarch Ilia II of Georgia received the Armenian Ambassador Hrach Silvanyan, who is completing his mission in Georgia.
Emphasizing the importance of friendship between the two Christian nations, the Georgian Patriarch hailed Hrach Silvanyan’s mission in Georgia and his contribution to the reinforcement of that friendship.
During the meeting reference was made to the religious life of Georgian Armenians and the forthcoming visit of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, to Georgia in June of the current year.
