His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received Rev. Fr. Heikki Theodoros Huttunen, General Secretary of the Conference of European Churches, at the Patriarchal Residence in Atchaneh, Bikfaya – Lebanon.
His Holiness discussed with Rev. Fr. Huttunen the current situation of Christians in the Middle East, especially in Syria and Iraq.
Rev. Huttunen assured His Holiness of the prayers and support of the European Churches and inquired about the ways of helping Christians stay in their homeland.
