First Anniversary of the Repose of Catholicos-Patriarch Mar Dinkha IV
Holy Apostolic Catholic Assyrian Church of the East – April 2016
The Assyrian Church of the East around the world commemorated the repose of His Holiness the late Mar Dinkha IV, Catholicos-Patriarch who left this earthly life for life eternal in God’s glorious kingdom on 26 March 2015.
While hundreds of thousands of Assyrian faithful continue to mourn the loss of this giant of the 20th and 21st centuries, they are comforted in the hope of his reception among the just and the righteous in the kingdom of heaven.
May the treasured memory of the late Catholicos-Patriarch be eternal.
On the occasion of the 1 anniversary of His Holiness the late Mar Dinkha IV’s repose, His Grace Mar Paulus Benjamin, Bishop of the Eastern USA has inaugurated a permanent exhibit in memorial of the late Catholicos-Patriarch. The exhibit featuring a number of His Holiness’ personal effects along with other pieces relevant to his Patriarchate is located at St George Cathedral of the Assyrian Church of the East in Chicago, Illinois and was unveiled on 10 April, 2016.
