EPDC Projects and Initiatives
Syriac Orthodox Patriarchate – 15/12/16
His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II visited the diverse projects and initiatives supported, implemented and executed by St. Ephrem Patriarchal Development Committee (EPDC).
His Holiness was accompanied by His Eminence Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury, Patriarchal Vicar of the Patriarchal Archdiocese of Damascus, and Very Rev. Raban Gabriel Dahho, Very Rev. Raban Cyril Babi and Very Rev. Raban Barsom Kando.
Mr. Shady Sarweh, executive director of EPDC, also accompanied His Holiness in his tour on the various projects which are mainly located in Jaramana and Duwela’a areas in Damascus.
He informed His Holiness and the accompanying delegation about the development of each project and gave statistics about the employees as well as the benefit it renders to the Syrian society at large.
The projects visited by His Holiness included: a blanket and duvet factory, a kitchen equipment manufacturing unit, a furniture factory as well as Catering Supplying Project which is sponsored by EPDC.
