Serbian Patriarch Irinej introduced Bishop Nikodim (Kosovic) into the throne of the bishops of Dalmatia.

On Sunday, 1 October 2017, on the day of Saint Eumenius of Gortin and Holy Martyr Aryadna, before the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the Cathedral church of the Ascension of the Most Holy Mother of God in Sibenik, the newly nominated Bishop Nikodim of Dalmatia presented his Confession of Orthodox faith by answering questions put by His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, and hierarchs. Priests, monks and pious people assembled in the prayer, were listening admiringly to the new bishop and spiritual teacher how precisely he exposed the doctrine of the Orthodox Church.

Afterwards His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, celebrated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy with the concelebration of Their Eminences Metropolitans: Amfilohije of Montenegro and Porfirije of Zagreb-Ljubljana, and Their Graces Bishops: Irinej of Backa, Pahomije of Vranje, Jovan of Sumadija, Ignjatije of Branicevo, Fotije of Zvornik-Tuzla, Atanasije of Mileshevo, Gerasim of Gornji Karlovac, David of Krusevac, Jovan of Slavonia, Sergije of Bihac-Petrovac, Marko of Bregalnica and David of Stobi, as well as of many priests and deacons.

A choir of friends of Krka Monastery sang responses.

At the end of the service of consecration, the rite of enthronement was performed:  His Holiness Patriarch Irinej introduced Bishop Nikodim into the throne of the bishops of Dalmatia.

The celebrations of nomination and enthronement of Bishop Nikodim of Dalmatia was attended by Minister of Defense of the Republic of Serbia and envoy of the President of the Republic of Serbia Mr. Aleksandar Vulin; Marko Nikolic, PhD, Deputy Director of the Office for Cooperation with Churches and Religious Communities of the Republic of Serbia; Mrs. Mira Nikolic, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Croatia; Mr. Miljenko Domijan, Advisor to the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Croatia; Archbishop of Split Mr. Tomislav Rogic, parish priest of Zadar Mr. Bozidar Longin; Prefect of County of Sibenik-Knin Mr. Goran Pauk; Mayor of Sibenik Mr. Zeljko Buric; Mayor of Knin Mr. Marko Jelic; as well as by representatives of other counties and municipalities on the territory of the Diocese of Dalmatia, representatives of the public and cultural life of Croatia and Serbia.
