Metropolitan Mar Seraphim endeavors to use cyber tech for evangelisation as Bengaluru Diocese goes online

BENGALURU —- Finally, the Bengaluru Diocese of Indian Orthodox Church is logged to the cyber world. The Diocese went online and is available on http://bangaloreorthodoxdiocese.org/.

HG Dr Abraham Mar Seraphim launched the diocese into cyber world by clicking on the mouse during the occasion of Bengaluru Orthodox Convention, Meltho 2012, at the India Campus Crusade auditorium, St Thomas Town.

In his message on the website, Dr Mar Seraphim notes the launch with joy and hopes it would lead to “dissipation of immense spiritual knowledge” to the homes of the multitudes and all necessary and effective communication be disseminated to the faithful electronically.

Henceforth, all information and communication modules such as the Metropolitan’s decrees, news, our stand on issues, homilies will now be accessible through the website.

Dr Mar Seraphim adds: “It is our firm endeavour to encourage and efficiently use more of the cyberspace technologies for evangelisation, that will certainly guide and light up the path to laity towards our Lord Jesus Christ and to the way of Theosis (making divine) as we the evangelists of Orthodoxy firmly believe. Cyberspace is a new potent channel of information. It is a new arena of life that throws open umpteen opportunities to positively influence that masses and to effectively reach them with efficiencies of time.”
The Metropolitan has not failed to acknowledge the efforts of dedicated youngsters who toiled to put the site into action.

His Grace adds further: “I firmly believe that the website is the result of a dedicated and focused work and the cooperation of a good number of members from our diocese. I wish and pray that the web grant enhanced vigor and dedication to all our faithful. Let this combined effort of our diocesan community become a great pillar of support for the establishment for a strong Malankara Orthodox (Indian) Church. I wish and pray that the Almighty shower all his blessing on this endeavor and all other efforts that we may embark through this site.”

The event also saw the presence of HG Alexios Mar Eusebius, Metropolitan of Diocese of Southwest America, along with the Cor Episcopois, Vicars and Decons of Bengaluru Diocese among others.
Congrats to Vimal George, George Jacob, Ajith George, Zainul and others on their efforts in bringing the Diocese into cyber world.
