Cross destroyed by ISIS restored on the dome of the ancient St. Morth Shmooni Syriac Orthodox Church in Iraq

Artella-Iraq- Orthodox Christians in Iraq restored Cross on the dome of St. Morth Shmooni Syriac Orthodox Church in Artella, Iraq. This beautiful and ancient Church and its 800-Year-old altar were severely damaged by ISIS.

Mor Timotheos Mousa Al Shamani (Metropolitan of Mor Mattai Dayro, Iraq) was present on the glorious occasion. The event of the restoration of the cross took place in the presence of clergy and thousands of faithful.
