Consecration of the altar of the Virgin Mary Church in Taguatinga

His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II consecrated the altar of the Virgin Mary Church that is being renovated in Taguatinga – Brazil.
Their Eminences Mor Titus Boulos Touza, Syriac Orthodox Apostolic Nuncio in Brazil, Mor Selwanos Boutros Al-Nehmeh, Archbishop of Homs, Hama and Environs, Mor Chrysostomos Youhanna Ghassaly, Patriarchal Vicar in Argentina, Bishop Mor Faustino Jose Filio, assisted His Holiness in the consecration.
In his speech, His Holiness congratulated the faithful of this parish for the works of renovation that they are doing. Since the church will be the official residence of the Apostolic Nuncio in Brazil, His Holiness declared it to be a ‘Cathedral’.
At the end of the consecration service, His Holiness decorated Rev. Raban Isaak Souza and Rev. Fr. Caio Queiroz with Holy Cross.
