Consecration of Mor Eliyo Syriac Orthodox Church, Pohlheim – Geissen- Germany

His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II consecrated the church of Mor Eliyo in Pohlheim – Geissen, Germany.
His Holiness was assisted by their Eminences: Mor Philoxenus Mattias Nayis, Patriarchal Vicar in Germany, Mor Dioscorus Benjamin Atas, Patriarchal Vicar in Sweden, Mor Dionysius Issa Gurbuz, Patriarchal Vicar in Switzerland and Austria, and Mor Julius Hanna Aydin, Head of Foreign Relations in Germany, in the presence of the clergy and parishioners.
His Holiness then celebrated the Holy Qurobo in the newly consecrated church.
In his sermon, His Holiness expressed his happiness to see the zeal of the youth and all those who worked for the completion of this church, and to see how the small flock there has grown and increased, and now has a place to pray for God.
