Moscow-Russia: Grand celebrations of the 10th Anniversary of the Enthronement of Patriarch Kirill was held in Moscow. Divine Liturgical celebrations were held the Church of Christ the Savior in Moscow with the participation of the Primates (especially Patriarch John X of Antioch, Patriarch Irinej of Serbia)  and delegates of the Local Orthodox Churches, autonomous and self-governing Churches of the Moscow Patriarchate, as well as members of the Holy Synod of the Russian Church.

Metropolitan Kirill became the Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia and Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church on the 1st of February 2009, after the demise of his Predecessor Patriarch Alexy II of blessed memory.
