Celebration of the Mid Lent at the Syriac Orthodox Patriarchate

On the occasion of the Mid Lent and the Elevation of the Cross, and the Feast of King Abgar, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II presided over the Holy Qurobo which was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Shemoun Demir, at Mor Yacoub Burd’ono Church in Atchaneh, Bikfaya – Lebanon.
In his sermon, His Holiness spoke about King Abgar who was the first king to accept Christ as the Savior. He also spoke about the elevation of the Cross and why it is celebrated on the day of the Middle of the Lent.
