Celebrating Legacy of Archbishop-Patriarch Torkom Manougian

Armenian Apostolic Patriarchate of Jerusalem – February 2014

On Sunday, February 8, the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of America, honoured the legacy of our late Armenian Patriarch of Jerusalem, Archbishop Torkom Manougian of beloved memory. Before his election as 96th Patriarch of Jerusalem, Archbishop Torkom Manougian served as Primate of the Eastern Diocese.

In the morning a Divine Liturgy and requiem service were held, celebrated by the current Primate of the Eastern Diocese, His Eminence Archbishop Khajag Barsamian. A luncheon and program, dedicated to Archbishop Torkom Manougian followed the liturgy. The title of the program was “The Legacy of Archbishop Torkom Manougian, Patriarch, Primate and Poet”, celebrating his remarkable life and enduring legacy.

A large amount of people came to the meeting to celebrate the enduring legacy of Archbishop Torkom.
The event was characterized by remembering and celebrating his remarkable life and deeds with love and gratitude.
