Catholicos of All Armenians Receives Dance and Song Ensemble “Dalar”

On September 18, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, received the members of the Dance Ensemble “Dalar” of the Mkhitarian Sanuts Union. The ensemble is visiting Armenia through the project “Days of the Armenian Community of Istanbul in Armenia”.
Mrs. Diana Gambarosian, member of the Mkhitarian Sanuts union, presented to the Armenian Pontiff the works of the dance and song ensemble and its project in Armenia. Mrs. Julia Mutlu, founder and artistic director of the Ensemble, reflected on the establishment and present activities of the Ensemble.
His Holiness welcomed the first visit of the ensemble to Armenia, expressing his joy that they would participate in the events dedicated to the 20th anniversary of independence of the Homeland.
The Armenian Pontiff expressed his appreciation to the members of the Ensemble for instilling energy into the life of the Armenians in Istanbul and for preserving the national traditions with devotion. His Holiness also encouraged them to continue their lives with God-loving and nation-loving spirit, characteristic to the Armenians in Istanbul. The Catholicos of All Armenians expressed his hope that the example of that ensemble would inspire other offspring in the Diaspora to also preserve the national traditions, keeping them strong and secure.
