Catholicos of All Armenians Meets the Ruler of Sharjah

On January 29, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, departed for the United Arab Emirates at the invitation of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammad Al-Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Sharjah.
His Holiness Karekin II attended the awards ceremony of Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammad Al-Qasimi in the American University of Sharjah. On behalf of Mr. Serzh Sarkisyan, President of the Republic of Armenia, Mr. Hovik Abrahamyan, President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, bestowed the Medal of Honor of the Republic of Armenia to His Highness for the significant contributions in reinforcing the friendly relations and improving economic collaboration between the Republic of Armenia and UAE. During the ceremony the Catholicos of All Armenians offered his message of blessing and appreciation to those present.
His Holiness and NA President Abrahamyan also visited the Holy Martyrs Armenian Church which was under construction and toured the grounds. On the same day they visited the RA Embassy to the UAE, and met with the representatives of the Armenian community.
