Sofia-Bulgaria: Bulgarian Orthodox Nun Cherub (Elena Ivanova Kaitazova), of the Samokov Monastery “Protection of the Mother of God”, Samokov in Sofia province entered eternal rest at the age of 100.

She was born on May 6, 1920, in the town of Kostenets. The late nun was tonsured in 1946 at the Samokov Monastery.

Nun Cherub was the lead organizer of the Church Choir for a long time. On May 6, 2020, her 100th birthday was solemnly celebrated at the Monastery. She was one of the oldest serving Nuns in the Country.
