Blessing of the First Syriac Orthodox Center in Hungary

Budapest-Hungary: The Hungarian government has allowed the operation of the first Syriac Center in the Country. The Center located in the capital city of Budapest will be managed by the Syriac Orthodox Church for a period of 50 years.

The keys of the new Syriac Center were handed over to  H.H. Moran Mor Ignatius Aphrem II (Patriarch of Antioch and All East) by His Excellency Mr. Viktor Orban (Prime Minister of Hungary) the presence of His Excellency Mr. Zsolt Semjen (Deputy Prime Minister of Hungary) and His Excellency Mr. Tristan Azbej, (Hungarian State Secretary for the Aid of the Persecuted Christians) on 16th December 2020.

A  blessing ceremony was held thereafter.
