Armenia to continue with teaching of Orthodox Church history in Schools

Yerevan: The Armenian ministry of Education has confirmed that history of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Church will be continued to be taught as part of the school curriculum. They refuted the rumor’s that Church history would be removed from schools as per the instructions of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child.
The Ministry also said that final decision makers are the Armenian Government regarding these issues. The UN only proposes programmes and may not give instructions as per the spokesperson of the ministry.
Armenia welcome foreign partners in education but contents are to be decided by the governmental systems.
