ARCHBISHOP NAREG ALEMEZIAN RECEIVES THE DR. OF MINISTRY DEGREE

On Monday, 9 May 2011, at the convocation which took place in the Christ Church Cathedral, Vancouver, Canada, His Eminence Archbishop Nareg Alemezian received his Dr. of Ministry degree from the University of British Columbia Vancouver School of Theology.
The subject of Archbishop Alemezian’s thesis is “Priesthood in the 21st Century in the Armenian Church: The Model of the Celibate Brotherhood of the Catholicosate of Cilicia”. On Friday, 29 April, Archbishop Nareg defended his thesis, which was unanimously approved by the examining committee.
His Holiness Aram I welcoming the academic achievment of His Eminence, reminded that the Brotherhood of the Catholicosate of Cilicia gives priority importance to university education, considering it vital for the witness of the church.
