Athens-Greece: His Beatitude Archbishop Ieronymos II, the Primate of the Church of Greece regrets the exiting schism in the Orthodox world that was formulated as a result of the granting of Ukrainian autocephaly by the Ecumenical Patriarchate.

According to Sergei Gavrilov, the Chairman of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Orthodoxy (IOA), and State Duma deputy, the Archbishop commented that mistakes are made in sacred matters, which leads to grave consequences and suffering for the people. He also stated that he hoped that with the help of God, through joint efforts, and repentance, the communication between Greek and Russian Churches would be restored.
