Addis Abab-Ethiopia: Abune Gebriel (PhD) – Bishop Emeritus of Sidama diocese of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church entered enteral rest on the 4th of 2020. He was undergoing medical treatment (for a while) at the bishop’s residence in Addis Ababa.
He served as the head of various dioceses since the reign of Patriarch Takla Haymanot. The late Prelate was also one of EOTC delegates who participated in the election of Pope Tawadros of the Coptic Orthodox church.
