Kokshetau-Kazakhstan: The consecration of the newly built church in honour of the Resurrection of Christ in the city of Kokshetau by Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, co-served by Bishop Serapion of Kokshetau and Akmola, and Bishop Vladimir of Petropavlovsk and Bulaevsky on the 17th of September 2021.

 Apart from several faithful and clergy, Ermek Boranbaevich Marzhikpayev, the Akim of the Akmola region attended the ceremony.

G.G. Sosnovsky, the head of the EMO Foundation is the benefactor of the Cathedral.. The new Church will be known as the ‘Cathedral of the Kokshetau and Akmola region of Kazakhstan’.
