Patriarch Kirill Prays for the Health of Catholicos-Mooppan Marthoma Paulose II

Moscow-Russia – Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia sent a message to Catholicos-Mooppan and Malankara Metropolitan Marthoma Paulose II of Malankara (Primate of the Indian Orthodox Malankara Church), who is presently under ventilator support at the St. Gregorious Hospital in Kerala.

In his letter, Patriarch Kiril stated that “It is with great sorrow that I have received the alarming news of a serious bodily ailment that has befallen you, and I would like to express to you my brotherly support and sincere sympathy. I am deeply worried about your difficult state and fervently pray to the Merciful Lord, that He, as a true Physician of our souls and bodies, would strengthen your strength and soon erect from the sickly bed a whole and all-perfect one, give you a flock in good health and peace.

The Patriarch praised the contributions of Catholicos Marthoma Palusloe II stating that ” We would like to note with special gratitude that the Russian Orthodox Church has a good and faithful friend, an active co-worker in the field of Christian witness. Even in this difficult time, relations between the Moscow Patriarchate and the Malankara Church continue to develop fruitfully thanks to the Working Group on Bilateral Cooperation created with your participation”.
