Catholicos of the East – Forced Conversions will dismantle interreligious harmony

India/Kerala: Forced conversion will break interreligious harmony and peace, said His Holiness Baselious Pauolse II – Catholicose of the East on the Apostolic Throne of St Thomas and Malankara Metroploitn – Primate of the Indian Orthodox Malankara Church.

The Catholicos stated that there should be strong steps taken to prevent any sort of forceful conversion. The people of India should be treated as per the protection granted by the honorable Constitution. The most important thing is to maintain the true unity in diversity of the Country as well as to uphold to the true values of interreligious tolerance and harmony.
