105th Memory of Pulikkottil Joseph Mar Dionysius II
The Indian Orthodox Malankara Church – 14/7/14
India/Kerala/Kottayam: The Indian Malankara Orthodox Church commemorated the 105th feast of his blessed memory Pulikkottil Joseph Mar Dionysius II at Orthodox Theological Seminary. The hierarch Baselios Paulose II led the divine service and metropolitans from different ends of the Church took part in the feast.
At 6 pm on 11th July 2014, the feast commenced with evening prayer followed by Pradekshanum (Procession) and benediction. On 12th July the feast concluded with the divine Eucharist celebrated by the Catholicos followed by Pradekshanum and blessing of the crowed.
Mar Dionysius II, served as the Metropolitan of Malankara – Primate of the Indian Orthodox Church from March 22, 1815. He is always remembered for his lasting contributions made to the Church and Society.
