Prime Minister of Montenegro Visits the Ecumenical Patriarchate

Constantinople-Turkey: On 27 October 2023, the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dritan Abazović, paid a visit to the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Constantinople. This visit took place in the absence of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, who was on the island of Imbros at the time.

During the visit, Mr. Abazović was received by Reverend Metropolitan Maximos of Silivria, who provided insights into the initiatives and the ministry of the Holy Church of Christ the Great. On behalf of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, commemorative gifts were presented to the Prime Minister and his delegation.

The Prime Minister of Montenegro was warmly welcomed at the Propylaea of the Patriarchate by the Ecclesiarch, and other members of the Special Patriarchal Office, along with clerics from the Patriarchal Court.

The visit of the Prime Minister of Montenegro to the Ecumenical Patriarchate served as an opportunity to deepen mutual understanding and strengthen ties between the Prime Minister and the spiritual center of the Orthodox Christian world.
