Malankara – India: The Orthodoxy Cognate PAGE (OCP) Society honored the Department for External Church Relations (DECR) of the Russian Orthodox Church with the prestigious Order of OCP during a ceremony held in Kottayam, India, on February 24, 2024. The award was graciously accepted by Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, the Chairman of the DECR. The event was presided over by Donn George Varghese, OCP Secretary and Spokesperson, alongside Joel Georgy Alex, Director of the Department of Charity & Social Welfare, ensuring a ceremony marked by warmth and camaraderie.

The gathering served as a valuable opportunity for dialogue on several crucial topics, including the revitalization of Pan-Orthodoxy dialogues, addressing challenges within the Orthodox World, and reinforcing the significance of Pan-Orthodox unity.

Expressing his gratitude, Metropolitan Anthony acknowledged the support of the OCP Society towards the Russian Orthodox Church and presented a Patriarchal Calendar to the OCP as a token of appreciation.

The meeting with the OCP delegation saw Metropolitan Anthony accompanied by Hieromonk Stefan (Igumnov), DECR Secretary for Inter-Christian Relations, and Deacon Nikolai Vasin, Secretary to the DECR Chairman, further emphasizing the collaborative spirit of the event.
