Catholicos Aram I Reaffirms His Solidary with Artsakh Through Tele-Conversation with President Arayik Harutyunyan

Antelias – Lebanon: His Holiness Aram I Catholicos of Cilicia through a telephonic conversation with the President of the Republic of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan on July 30,2023 reaffirmed his support to the people of Artsakh.

According to the official statement: They discussed issues of the ongoing crisis in the country due to Azerbaijan’s genocidal blockade of Artsakh.

His Holiness reaffirmed his solidarity with the Artsakh people and informed the President of his recent consultations with the Prime Ministers of Greece and Canada and their positions. In turn, President Harutyunyan briefed His Holiness on the dire situation in Artsakh imposed by Azerbaijan. The Catholicos and the President underlined the imperative of maintaining the right of self-determination of the indigenous people of Artsakh.
