Youth Assembly Convened in Lyon, France

From May 29 to June 2, a Youth Assembly entitled “Called to One Hope by Christ” is being held in Lyon, France under the auspices of the Conference of European Churches (CEC). The assembly of youth delegates, initiated by the United Youth Organizations of the CEC, has been planned to precede the upcoming CEC 13th Assembly.

With the blessing of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, Reverend Father Shahe Ananian will represent the Armenian Church at the assembly.

The aim of the assembly is to organize the youth organizations of Europe, and inform them of their role in and the importance of the upcoming 13th Assembly. The goals are to inspire the participants and encourage future activities and involvement in the European Ecumenical movement.
