Visit of the Minister of Education in Iraqi Kurdistan Government

His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received His Excellency Mr. Bitshewan Sadek Abdallah, Minister of Education and Interim Minister of Endowments in the Iraqi Kurdistan Government, in Erbil. His Excellency was accompanied by His Excellency Mr. Khaled Alber, Director of the Christian Affairs in the Ministry of Endowments.
Their Eminences Mor Nicodemus Daoud Sharaf, Archbishop of Mosul, Kurdistan and Environs, Mor Justinos Boulos Safar, Patriarchal Vicar in Zahleh and Beqaa, Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury, Patriarchal Vicar in the Patriarchal Archdiocese of Damascus, and Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director, were also present in this meeting.
His Excellency assured His Holiness of the great efforts that the Government of Kurdistan is doing to help the Christians who fled from Mosul after being forced by terrorist groups to leave their homes.
In turn, His Holiness thanked His Excellency for the support in all areas, especially in education.
